• Tanpa atau dengan menggunakan time signal.

e.g. :

• Viska was walking down the street when it began to rain.
• Siska and I were standing under a tree when it began to rain.
• When I arrived, Tommy was talking on the phone.
• At nine o’clock last night, he was studying.
• Last month at this time, they were attending school.
